letras de canciones

Ayer platicaba sobre los grandes compositores contemporáneos de letras de canciones. Hoy recordé una de esas letras que desde el primer dia que la escuché me atrapó y lo sigue haciendo.
La canción se llama in a manner of speaking. Primero la escuché en la versión original de esa maravillosa banda de San Francisco llamada Tuxedomoon. Después Martin Gore en un disco de culto de la música electrónica de nombre Counterfeit, la lleva a otros cielos.
Counterfeit es un disco realmente especial en cuanto a su contenido, ya que siendo Martin Gore uno de los máximos letristas y compositores de la música electrónica hizo un disco en que retoma algunas de sus canciones favoritas y así nace lo que fue su primer trabajo como solista en 1989. Extraña forma de hacer un debut. Sin duda el ego no es parte del alma de Gore.
Counterfeit tuvo una segunda parte hace no muchos años, el Counterfeit 2 . Un estimulante disco también.
